Unitarians in the West of England
Welcome. You have reached the website of the Unitarian District that covers the West of England. We are a community of spiritual communities stretching from South Gloucestershire to Devon. This is where you can locate Unitarian Chapels and Fellowships throughout the region.
Unitarians are liberal religious people, who base their faith on conscience rather than creed. We gather in our local groups to worship, reflect, and enter into dialogue on the deep issues of life. These independent local groups come together in a district organisation that endeavours to sustain and develop them. The District Council of Representatives supports professional ministry and lay leadership with grants; appoints a coordinator of religious education; facilitates retreats for both adults and young people; takes part in the national denomination’s events; and arranges regular gatherings either for the conduct of business or the sharing of ideas and fellowship.
You can find out more on our detailed pages. If you have any questions you can contact us, and you are welcome to do so.
